The Body is the Map to your Emotions

Did you know that our body type speaks to our feelings and needs?

In a similar way, body fat and our skin are some of the most important protective and (physical) connection tissues in our body. We store fat in areas we perceive as vulnerable according to the way our perception works. The same is true for the areas of our body that are slim. We don’t accumulate fat where we feel the need to make ourselves smaller.

Diet, exercise, metabolism and other factors can influence our body mass, but if we permanently want to modify the shape of our body, we need to address the emotional needs that have so far sculptured us the way we are.

When weight is an issue from very early on, we can look at those emotional factors and patterns that we have inherited from our ancestors, but we still have the power to change those inherited patterns for ourselves and our family tree. The blue print of our body type is in our DNA, but energetically / spiritually speaking, we can say that our body type is determined by the primary emotions we come to this life to heal.

The way to re-shape our body is by re-shaping our emotions.

Here are a few examples of 4 main body types (one person can have a combination of characteristics too)

Rejection: Narrow body, compressed, slim, small eyes, appears to be wearing a mask. A person with a rejection body type frequently uses words like: Nothing, disappear, loneliness, panic, nil, void

Abandonment: Plump, thick body type; tense neck, pelvis, jaw & throat; big, innocent eyes. Commonly used words: absent, alone, can’t stand, and being stuck.

Humiliation: Long and slim body; slouched posture; big, sad eyes; long arms; flaccidity. Words: Dignified, undignified, small large, thick, wide, little, comparative adjectives.

Betrayal: strong, wide shoulders (men), wide hips (women), puffy chest, intense eyes. Likes to use words like: dissociate, Do you understand?, I’m capable, skilled, I’ll do it myself, I knew it, trust me, I don’t trust them.

In general terms, we experience the world and our interactions with people through the emotions that are our most vulnerable.

This is why two people going through the same experience can potentially talk about it in very different ways. For example, let’s assume that 2 people go through an involuntary breakup under identical circumstances; one person with an abandonment type of body will experience the breakup as being abandoned “again”, a person with a rejection type of body will experience it as rejection, not abandonment. This is where a lot of our challenging patterns come from.

Similarly, we put on weight/retain water in a NON random way:

*Around the abdomen to protect ourselves from abandonment

*Hip area to create distance between ourselves and others

*Legs when we want to keep moving forward, but it is ‘hard’

*full body, I don’t feel seen | I make myself bigger, negative self-talk | I need to protect myself

This is how our body shows us what we need to heal and work on. It shows us our emotional and pattern inheritance. It highlights our “buttons” and it gives us the clues as to the approach we need to help solve the issues.

Isn’t this a fascinating topic?

This and more is what I have dedicated the last year to study.

It is part of the Biodecoding curriculum, which also covers the clue to eliminate all kinds of symptoms and discomfort in your body and emotions.

If you want to hear more about it, come by and let’s chat. You can also keep an eye on our social media. I will soon start offering Biodecoding sessions. We will have an introductory pricing, I hope you can take advantage of it.
